When ordering, you will choose from one of the five wood packages that you want the guitar to be constructed from: the Koa package, the Flamed Maple package, the Walnut package, the Mahogany package or the Quilt Maple package. Included in each standard package are the w/b/w binding the fingerboard, top, back, f-holes and headstock. Also standard to each order will be the ebony fingerboard, pickup surrounds, and tailpiece, bridge and bridge plate. Contact us for the upgrade pricing when selecting alternate materials. These are available so don’t be afraid to ask.

The Pederson Custom (formerly Abyss) Archtop Hollow body is available in two standard body styles, which are the NSII and J2. You can choose from a 6 or 7 string guitar if you like. The seven-string guitar option is available at an additional charge. A medium round 'C' carved neck profile is standard, and is approx 13/16" thick. This would be similar to, but not duplicating, a medium fat neck. The typical body thickness ranges from 2 3/8" to 2 5/8".

You can mix and match between the combination of two body styles and two headstocks, with no change in the standard price package. For instance, you can order the J2 with a three per side headstock, or you can have the NSII body shape with the six in line headstock.

All the Pederson Custom (formerly Abyss) Archtop guitars are ordered custom made with no pre assembled inventory or stock. However, from time to time we may have a prototype, or a Presentation elect started that you could grab with a secured down payment. Sometimes this may speed up the delivery time. Otherwise the current wait for the Pederson Custom (formerly Abyss) Archtop is around 9-12 months for the standard custom. The delivery time may possibly be longer if you have inlay, or a different wood preference.

QUILT ARCHTOP PACKAGE includes Master quilted top and back, flamed maple sides and flame/ebony accented neck laminations.

KOA ARTCHOP PACKAGE includes Select Koa top, back, sides and neck laminations with ebony accent stripes.

FLAMED MAPLE ARCHTOP PACKAGE includes Master flamed maple top, back, sides and neck laminations with ebony accent stripes.

WALNUT PACKAGE includes figured walnut top, back and sides. The same standard features would apply to this package. FLAMED MAPLE OR SELECT KOA are available for an additional fee.

MAHOGANY PACKAGE includes J4. Mahogany sides and back with at flame top. The same standard features would apply to this package. FLAMED MAPLE OR SELECT KOA are available for an additional fee.
